That's right. I cheated. It's something I never thought I'd do-- especially with the children with me...
I cheated on my favourite cafe, Bonjour Brioche, and took the girls to Bobette and Belle a few blocks away. What can I say? It was beautiful. Bobette and Belle is the complete opposite of Bonjour Brioche in most ways. It's light, airy and bright white, where Bonjour Brioche is cozy, warm and a tad cramped. Bobette has colourful macarons that remind me of my days in Paris visiting Laduree, although it doesn't have Croque Madam with mixed green salad, or lemon raspberry brioche. They really are quite different.
So, why did I cheat, when I still love Bonjour Brioche so much after all these years? What was the deciding factor? Bonjour Brioche only takes cash, and I forgot my wallet at home when we went to swimming lessons. I did, however, find my credit card in my back pocket. Bobette and Belle takes Mastercard.
The kids had chocolate whoopie pies, and I had a passion fruit macaron. It was a nice change...a little diversion...but next week I'll remember my wallet
Oooh. I just had some macarons last weekend...they are so cute...and tasty! :)
