6:30: Up early with the girls for breakfast-- oatmeal with milk and maple syrup, vitamin, and juice. Audrey is very excited about the outfit we bought at Joe Fresh for her first day of Junior Kindergarten. She wants to try her outfit on and take pictures.
7:15: Taking photos outside in barely enough light. Audrey posing like a champ:
See how blue they are? lol!
8:15 - While the kids play with their toys, I edit the photos and put them into a free digi template from Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals. (Sign up for their message boards and go to the weekly challenge and there are bunch of amazing freebies there!)
9:15 - My friend, Angel, arrives. She is a third year design student at the Ontario College of Art and Design (a very prestigious and demanding program) and she is going to help me decorate some rooms in the house. Her challenge? I want to use things we already have in the house. I don't want to buy much at all! She sees this as entirely doable.
9:30 - Take Angel to do her driving test out in Scarberia. Browse the Dollarama while I wait and find these amazing kids activity books for just a buck a piece! Score!
11:30 - Home again, feed the kids lunch, then give them their books which they totally love. (In fact they are using them again right now as I write this. One dollar well spent.) Print off my photo template and prepare to scrap.
1:00 - Lily goes for her nap, Q takes Audrey out for Daddy/Daughter date. She brings her activity book. I begin to scrap while checking e-mails, and cleaning the kitchen. I love my island. Lily never actually sleeps and gets up 20 minutes later, but is content to play on her own. What an angel.
2:30 - Layout complete:
The butterfly was punched from a scrap of a photograph from yesterday:
4:15 Make dinner while the girls play "dress up and go on a trip". (The chair is their train.)
5:15 Serve dinner-- Chicken Fried Rice using leftover roast chicken from yesterday, and salad:
6:30 - After multiple dinner/after-dinner meltdowns, it is decided there will be no tv tonight. Bath instead. Lots of floating in the bubbles:
7:20 - Stories : "Each Peach, Pear, Plum" and "Lllama, Llama, Mad at Mama" for Lily, and a selection from the big book of Dr. Seuss for Audrey. Search out all the appropriate nighttime friends: a total of 6 dolls, one Eeyore, one stuffed bear, and a book for Lily. Two songs for each child, then night, night.
7:30- 8:15: Listen to them chat to themselves and each other from downstairs.
8:30: Golden silence. Photograph my layout, upload it to the 2Peas gallery.
10:00: Night, Night.
