...Q, Lily and I went to Audrey's dance recital. She's been in dance camp all week. Three hours in the morning, Monday to Friday. I was pretty impressed with how much they learned in just a week. Audrey said she preferred hip hop to ballet because, "it has more moves and it doesn't take as long."
...I wheeled the kids to the grocery store in a stroller with a leaky tire. Not fun.
...I made a dinner of oven fried chicken, oven fries (yukon gold and sweet potato), and a green salad with feta and a dressing of pomegranate syrup and olive oil. Ate at the island, as has become the habit. I love that.
...The girls watched "Polar Express" before bed, loving it every bit as much in July as in December. They talk through the whole thing-- pointing out different details, and telling us about upcoming plot twists (as if we don't know it backwards and forwards already).
...Audrey went to bed using Q's childhood "Star Wars" pillowcase as a sleeping bag on her mattress.
...I heard the thump of Millie jumping off the couch on the third floor and trotting down the stairs when she heard my knife in the jam jar. A little "Bonne Maman" raspberry jam on a heel of crusty bread for me, a plain heel for Millie.
..."Relocation, Relocation" on the PVR, and "Top Chef" once Q gets out of the bath.
